This year’s season of The Great British Bake Off is nearly over. This evening’s (October 7th) episode will be the end of weeks of chocolate masterpieces, epic bread sculptures and collapsing gateaux, and viewers are waiting with baited breath to discover who will become the ultimate star baker.

Bake Off fans have been tweeting their support for their favorite finalists, so just a few hours before the show is due to air, we took to the Visibrain Twitter monitoring platform in a bid to discover who Twitter thinks will win The Great British Bake Off 2015.

Volkswagen has gotten itself into some very serious trouble over the past two weeks, after it was discovered that millions of its cars were fitted with software designed to cheat emissions tests. The German manufacturer, previously known for its economical and low-emission cars, is going through the worst crisis in its history.

Of course, the world’s tweeters had plenty to say about Volkswagen’s fall from grace. Using the Visibrain Twitter monitoring platform, we analyzed the 2,040,834 tweets posted between September 18th and September 28th to determine how the crisis unfurled on Twitter.

As one of the biggest events of the fashion industry, New York Fashion Week always causes quite a stir, and last week’s edition was no exception. Twitter was flooded with photos and comments as fashion brands, A-list celebrities, journalists and bloggers tweeted their favorite new styles hitting the catwalks.

We used the Visibrain Twitter monitoring platform to sort through the 983,579 tweets sent during #NYFW to identify the top influencers of one of the world’s most prestigious fashion events.

Last Friday was Force Friday, the day merchandise for the new Star Wars movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens officially hit the shelves. Fans were expecting a show, and Disney didn’t disappoint: the arrival of the new toys was celebrated with a live global unboxing event filmed from 15 locations over the course of 18 hours, culminating in the opening of stores worldwide at midnight.

The event generated huge amounts of excitement, and tweets. We used Visibrain to analyze the 253,154 tweets posted between September 3rd and September 5th using the #ForceFriday hashtag to determine what fans were tweeting about the most.
